Tammy Shearer - Controller

Tammy's focus at Blue Magnet Partners is deal due diligence and portfolio company support services that ensure effective accounting and financial systems and controls. She will also manage Blue Magnet Partners administration and accounting requirements along with the information needs of our limited partners.

Tammy's experience with many different accounting software systems enables her to quickly learn and evaluate existing accounting systems. In turn, she is able to streamline and configure a more efficient system and provide invaluable reporting systems to management. Upon reviewing an existing system, she is able to guide staff to perform more efficiently. Tammy's approach to training is hands on. Having hands on experience in all levels of an accounting department from an entry level position to a CFO, she is able to relate to the position she is training. Her experience allows her to tailor her training to the needs of the individual learning a particular task.

Tammy is a CPA and entrepreneur. She co-founded an outsourced financial management solutions company for small and medium sized businesses. Tammy's experience and knowledge enables her to design and implement integrated accounting and management reporting systems and procedures. In addition, she has been the project manager for a number of software installations and conversions.

Tammy attended Kansas State University and received a degree in Accounting. She has over 15 years of experience within multiple industries including real estate, construction, hotels, retail, various service industries and nonprofits.
